About the Nursery

Between the ages of two and four, pupils are cared for in our Pre-Nursery and Nursery. They feel secure and valued in a happy, stimulating environment where the foundations are laid for the rest of their education. 

There is a busy atmosphere, and the carefully structured programme encourages:

• The rapid development of communication, language and literacy skills
• Creative and imaginative play
• The development of social skills
• An understanding of the world around them
• Physical development

Sessions are structured to suit the age and ability of the children, whether they attend on a part or full-time basis. There is an excellent staff:pupil ratio, with the use of specialist staff and facilities for music, ICT and PE.

The classrooms are bright, cheerful and always full of fun! The children quickly relax, make friends and thoroughly enjoy their days. There is plenty of time for everyone to participate in the wide range of activities we offer – both indoors and outdoors. Children who join the Nursery are soon happy and confident in their new surroundings and rapidly become integrated into Brackenfield School.
