Friends of Brackenfield

The Friends of Brackenfield School (FOBS) is a committee of parents and friends of the School who organise events and work to raise funds throughout the year.

These are largely social events and fun activities for both parents and pupils such as an annual Bonfire Night and Easter Egg Hunt complete with bunnies! All money raised is used to fund projects that enhance the experience of the children in the School.

In December the parents organise special events for the children throughout the school. They run a highly enjoyable Christmas Fair, with a very important guest.

In recent years, they have also arranged very popular wreath-making evenings for parents, ready for Christmas. Halloween brings a pumpkin competition and at Easter, the infamous bunny leaves a trail of hidden eggs.

Each year the FOBS hold a quiz night with fish & chip supper, which is a lovely evening with light-hearted banter between teams. The final event of the school year is the Summer Fair in June. There are lots of particularly popular attractions and stalls.
