Brackenfield is unique in Harrogate, as it is not directly associated with any senior school. Pupils leaving us in Year 6 have the choice of a range of independent and state secondary schools and the Brackenfield team work to support families to achieve their child's first choice senior school.
For over 40 years, Brackenfield has been Harrogate’s Prep School. There is an especially warm and caring atmosphere at the school, and children are nurtured and encouraged by our exceptional staff to achieve the best possible outcomes in all areas of school life.
Selecting the right school for your child is a very big decision. Every year we welcome children in to our Wrens (2-3 years) and Robins (3-4 years) classes for the first stage of their educational adventure. Providing expert childcare for up to 50 weeks a year, our welcoming nursery provides an inspiring space for children to grow in confidence through creativity, discovery and play. They enjoy making new friends and this prepares them for a seamless transition to Reception.
