The Ultimate Bracken Award

The Ultimate Bracken Award is a comprehensive, multi‑activity achievement programme for Brackenfield's pupils aged 7–11 (Years 3–6). Think Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme but designed especially for younger children with a wide scope.

Pupils complete a wide range of tasks independently, with staff providing support, guidance, verification and celebration, outside of in‑school time. Almost all tasks are underpinned by the school's 4 Mission Areas: click HERE for more information on these.

Award Levels

Pupils can earn Bronze, Silver and Gold awards at their own pace:

• Bronze: 18 verified achievements
• Silver: 23 verified achievements
• Gold: 24 verified achievements

Gold is designed to be completed gradually across Years 3–6.
