Brackenfield pupil awarded Rising Star Award for role in film God of Mischief
Bon, a Year 6 Brackenfield School pupil is thrilled to have been awarded the Rising Star Award at the Lytham International Film Festival (LIFF) for his role in God of Mischief, written and directed by Christian Stevens and shot when Bon was only nine years of age!
The award, designed to celebrate emerging talent in the film industry, particularly recognises actors who show exceptional promise early in their careers.
Helen Leaf, Brackenfield’s Director of Performing Arts comments:
“I am incredibly proud and delighted that Bon has been recognised for his outstanding acting talent. I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of an exciting journey for such a bright and promising young performer.'
Bon, in an interview with the Harrogate Advertiser, explains how his acting career began after chatting to a casting director on the London tube a few years ago. Shortly after Bon had his first role in a Tesco Club card advert and is now starring in a number of productions yet to be released, including one in which Bon works with Kevin Spacey.
